“Why Choose A PhiBrows or Scalpa Certified Artist?”

Certified PhiBrows Microblading artists follow very specific work ethics and standards, mastering eleven levels of training through a rigorous 6-months course by masters of the craft such as Brooke’s instructor, 2018’s “Master of the Year”, Master Kler Rosenberg.

PhiAcademy controls the quality of work to its members and provides ultimate support to students and their clients.

PhiBrows artists are recognized as the industry leaders in Microblading. You can ensure you are receiving the highest quality of work by choosing a certified PhiBrows artist.

Approximately, six out of ten students will graduate the PhiBrows Microblading Course and receive certification, earning their place on the map. You can easily verify an artist’s certification on the Worldwide “PhiBrows Map”.

PhiBrows artists never stop working on themselves as they can always progress within the academy.

Certified PhiBrows artists have been skillfully trained to provide aesthetically pleasing eyebrows and eyebrow corrections. The artist performs a semi-permanent technique of eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is configured to each client’s facial morphology using golden proportion (phi 1.618) enhancing your specific bone structure and face shape thereby achieving optimal results and very natural-looking, beautiful eyebrows.

Although, PhiBrows artists cannot design our client’s eyebrows too far outside the golden ratio, we can change arch height, thickness, boldness, and color, as your hair color changes along with your preferences, and add shading to enhance the brow fullness.

Scalpa artists are also recognized as the industry leaders in SMP Scalp and Beard Micropigmentation. You can ensure you are receiving the highest quality of work by choosing a certified Scalpa artist.

SMP is the the only hair treatment on the market that provides 100% results through tattooing hair follicle impressions on the scalp whether you have lost your hair completely, or you are experiencing thinning of your natural hair. Through scalp micropigmentation Brooke can disguise bald and thinning hair by recreation of hairline in a natural or more manicured shape then tattooing small dots that blend seamlessly with your natural hair growth. Through this technique Brooke can also camouflage thinning hair without shaving the current growth. SMP is suitable for both men and women.

Scalp Micropigmentation usually consists of 2-3 sessions with each session adding density for a very natural appearance. SMP lasts approximately 5 years before you might want to come back to freshen up color, however, this is a permanent cosmetic procedure, tattoo.

Quality products and color retention

PhiBrows and Scalpa artists are afforded access to the highest of quality supplies including pigments free of heavy metals, scientifically created for color retention. This means that your pigment will not change color, as often seen when cheaper pigments are used by other artists in this industry whose client’s eyebrows turn red or green over time.

In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be damaged. Clients with eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, or any type of damage in or around the area, or you must wait for the skin to heal prior to treatment.

Does it hurt

Pain during the Microblading and SMP treatments is minimal to moderate, but some compared Microblading to eyebrow threading. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain as do women having their period as they have an increased level of sensitivity.

With Powder Brows or Ombrè Brows the pain is very minimal.

Brooke uses a numbing anesthetic to eliminate a lot of the pain of the treatment “after” the first pass. This means Brooke must blade or tattoo the first hair strokes or impressions over the entire area without the use of anesthetic. After the first pass, the skin has been broken, which will activate the anesthetic. Any type of topical cream or anesthetic used prior to the first pass will most likely limit pigment retention causing pigment loss or the artists inability to implement the pigment at all.

Botox or fillers and abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments (and other similar treatments) should be avoided at least 30 days prior to microblading treatment.

Pigment is determined according to the natural color of the eyebrows and hair in order to achieve the most natural-looking, hyper-realistic, outcome.

Measurements and symmetry

Eyebrows symmetry is a calculation and configured using PhiBrows application. The client is usually lying flat with eyes closed so the mimetic muscles are relaxed. Mimetic muscles are tensed in facial expression throughout the day and it is important to be relaxed during treatment. Therefore, caffeine is not recommended prior to treatment.

What is a touch-up appointment for

Touch-up / perfection treatment is done about 6 weeks after the treatment. Up to 20% of strokes are lost after the initial treatment, and, while pigment is very dark during the first week after the initial procedure, it begins to lighten up during the second week and continues to lighten about 30% over the duration of the healing process. Do not try to lighten it yourself. Microblading is a 2-step, and the touch-up appointment is mandatory in order to perfect your new eyebrows. The full investment from you is approximately 2 months. While the majority of the time you cannot tell much is happening it is a process from beginning to end. After your touch-up appointment, there are fewer hair strokes that require maintenence, and the healing process is much easier.

You can expect the final results about 2 weeks after your touch-up, and not before. Please be patient, and remember anything worthwhile is worth waiting for. Healing is completely done 28 days after each treatment session.

Around 6 weeks after the initial treatment, the “Touch-up” treatment session is necessary to replace any pigment (hair stroke) loss (hair stroke) loss, and to make any minor adjustments to the original shape due to same. If the skin is problematic and oily, several such corrections can be made. One “Touch-up” treatment is included in the initial microblading service price. Any other necessary touch up treatments are $150, available in the booking and services section.

Color retention and skin

Pigment retention mostly depends on the skin’s oiliness. The oilier the skin the shorter the retention for Microblading, but the opposite for Scalp Micropigmentation. A client’s lifestyle also plays a part in pigment retention. If you tend to sweat a lot or are frequently exposed to sunlight it will affect the pigment lifespan. The average time span, before you need a Microblading refreshment treatment, is about 12 months for normal skin, and about 6 months for oily skin. For SMP it’s about 5 years.

Post-treatment care

Microblading: Post-treatment care makes 80% of total treatment success. Conscientiously stick and adhere to the given advice, because if you don’t do that, you can lose the new microbladed hair strokes. Proper care according to the post treatment care instructions and cleansing and applying the SkinCandy ointment is of great significance. PhiWipes are specifically designed for cleansing the eyebrows during the first and second day of treatment, and usually available for purchase from your artist for around $3. Alternatively, you can use a clean soft cloth and baby soap to cleanse your eyebrows as per the post treatment care instructions. One package of SkinCandy is included in the service price.

How successful the treatment will be depends on:

skin quality

post-treatment care

exposure to external influences

None of these factors are under the artist’s control, thus providing any guarantee for the treatment is not possible.

Before the treatment always consult with your artist if you:

have problematic skin
have serious health issues
take certain medications
have old PMU on your eyebrows

Before the treatment, get familiar with the posttreatment care regimine so that you are fully prepared to follow these instructions adamently.

Before the treatment:

Before each treatment, the skin should not be sunburned, or in any form of the skin’s recovery or regeneration process. Microblading is a semi-permanent technique, which means that the pigment will slowly fade over the course of, approximately, two years through skin cell regeneration. Therefore, any form of recovery and regeneration will cause the pigment to fade prematurely as new skin cells push up through the damaged and dead layer of skin (the outermost layer of the skin).

Initially, it is not recommended to perform microblading services on skin currently repairing itself through this natural process, even in the slightest way. Brooke wants the best outcome that is possible, as you do, too. Brooke has certain conditions of treatment in place in order to achieve this. It is necessary for our clients to be aware of the risks involved due to different conditions that may present extra time, care and/or alternatives. This is discussed at the consultation, upon receipt of the consent and medical forms provided.

Avoid these treatments prior to Microblading

The following is a list of some of the treatments not recommended 30 days before the treatment:

botox and fillers
fruit or lactic acids
laser treatments
chemical peel
acne treatment / benzoyl peroxide
antibiotic course
eyebrow dyes
exposure to strong sunlight
